May The Fourth–Or Should We Say, May The WAM–Be With You!

To celebrate this year’s May the fourth, we here at AJ Tek have been looking into what Star Wars would have been like if a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, they’d had WAM to automate their WSUS Automated Maintenance. The outcome could have been quite interesting and possibly altered the Star Wars universe as we know it.

With the high-level technologies displayed by the different planets and species in the Star Wars universe, you would think that automating their WSUS maintenance is as common as drinking Jawa Juice on a nice Tatooinian afternoon. We know for a fact that droids need constant updates to their systems. We also know that computers and networks are widespread tools throughout the galaxy. As advanced as the Star Wars universe is, they must be using WAM to keep their servers up to date and operating at lightspeed.

Think of the number of times R2D2 plugged into a machine and made something happen in an instant – the Death Star, repairing the hyperdrive, or Endor’s shield generator. Without a moment’s notice, open a door, locate Princess Leia, or disable the trash compactor. R2’s update systems must have been running WAM (WSUS Automated Maintenance) to keep his update server free of obsolete updates and allow him to operate so quickly.

Yoda was stuck in the old ways of maintaining his WSUS database. Forget his alleged mastery of the Force and his mystical powers. If he had been using WAM to maintain his WSUS database and allow his server to run at peak performance, he would have had much more time to focus on the Jedi Council before it was wiped out by Palpatine.

This May The Fourth, don’t be like Yoda, use WAM to automate your WSUS maintenance and spend your time on more important matters!
