Adam Marshall, President of AJ Tek, has the proud distinction of being a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP). This prestigious title was awarded to him for his work and contribution in the “Windows and Devices for IT” MVP category.

Microsoft MVPs

MVP titles are presented to people that showcase passion, community spirit and leadership in Microsoft related areas. In Adam’s case, he earned his MVP status in part from his work on IT forums. Adam stays on top of issues by being extremely active in both the Spiceworks Community and on the TechNet Forums. On both platforms, Adam provides help and advice to users trying to troubleshoot WSUS issues.

Recently, Adam was made aware of an issue in the Windows 10 software that was creating frustration for some users. He came across the anomaly while providing support on forums and suspected there was a problem with the Microsoft software. Adam was able to bypass the standard Microsoft technical support channels and instead, set a meeting to discuss the issue with Microsoft engineers directly.

Annual MVP Summit Conference

At the annual MVP Summit conference in Seattle, Adam met with five Microsoft engineers and technical leads responsible for WSUS software to describe the issue he and others were encountering. After the conference, Microsoft engineers were unable to replicate the issue so Adam provided logs and detailed descriptions which helped them identify a bug within the software. They are currently working on a fix and the problem should be addressed in a future software release.

Adam is extremely thankful that Microsoft was so responsive and took the time to hear his concerns. Correcting that Windows 10 issue will significantly benefit the Microsoft community and provide relief to those that were previously experiencing issues.

WAM grew out of Adam’s love for Microsoft and his desire to make WSUS simple and efficient. He created a software solution that can allow IT professionals to automatically maintain WSUS and spend time on other tasks.

WAM is super affordable and can be easily purchased online.
